Join us for a fun and interactive 2-2.5 hour hands on sausage making cooking class with Chef Andi Thielen and Chef Heide Walker. Both chef have recently joined our team and are bringing authentic German cooking to our school.
Chef Andi is a native German, born and raised in Bremerhaven at the North Sea. After completing his 3 year apprenticeship and 1 year working as a butcher, Andi joined the German military for 12 years. Even though he worked 22 years as a Physical Therapist, Andi always loved to cook for family and friends and spent his free time being creative in many kitchens. Andi is now the owner and chef of "Schnitzel Box", his German food truck in San Antonio.
Chef Heide grew up in the high alpine mountains of Tirol, Austria. She started cooking at the age of 8 and working in the restaurant industry at age 12 during school holidays. Her favorite hang out was always in the kitchen, observing the chefs where she learned many cooking skills. Chef Heidi is now co owner with Andi of "Schnitzel Box" Food Truck.
You will learn from our chefs, how to make German Sausage, a traditional German recipe. Come ready to cook, eat and enjoy sharing time in our kitchen.
About our classes: It's not just about recipes and learning essential techniques, you will enjoy a great dinner with wine and great company. Our talented chefs will share their cooking expertise in a fun and relaxed environment. You'll learn how to read, prep and execute a recipe through demonstrations and hands on interaction.
