Laura Crook, and her Husband, Shaun, started Gum Creek in 2011. They both graduated Stephen F Austin State University with their masters degrees in Foresty. They have two children, two dogs, and several chickens.

 Laura has always been passionate about food. Her family for generations passed down the love of cooking and entertaining using fresh, good quality ingredients. Shaun has worked hard on their garden, and they grow most of what they eat. Her cooking philosophy and business philosophy is the same: be sustainable, be simple, serve well, and spice it up!
